The Mixed Martial Arts Association Of British Columbia was incorporated under
the Society Act of the Province of British Columbia on April 13, 2010. MMABC is
a NON PROFIT Amateur Sporting A ssociation dedicated to the health, safety and
welfare of Amateur Mixed Martial Artists.
MMABC works with athletes, coaches, gyms, event promoters and officials to
foster a safe environment for the growth of Amateur Mixed Martial Arts in the
Province of British Columbia.

May 9, 2026 - Compete for a spot on Team Canada in this OPEN all
categories Amateur MMA team selection tournament. Canadian weight class
Champions will earn an all expense paid trip to the IMMAF World Championships in
Las Vegas July 2015 Tournament will begin Fri May 29 PRELIMS, Sat May 30 Semis,
Sun May 31 Championships.

April 4, 2026 - With the creation of the BC Provincial Athletic
Commission and with the appointment of the BCAC to regulate amateur MMA in BC,
MMABC will now focus on the development of the Amateur side of the Sport
focusing on pooling all of the Provinces MMA gyms together under the MMABC
banner, hosting Provincial Amateur MMA tournaments and overall helping to
develop the Sport of Amateur MMA in BC.
Dec 9, 2025 - AGM was held Dec 9, 2013. Bill Mahood, Tyler
Jackson, Tony Williamson and Brian Peers were all re elected for another 1 year
term
NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
On Friday, December 6th at 8:00pm The Mixed Martial Arts Association
of British Columbia (MMABC) will be having its 3rd Annual General
Meeting. The meeting will be held at Revolution Martial Arts 20460 Langley
Bypass, Langley.
As a member of the association you are invited to attend this meeting. ALL
current members in good standing are encouraged to attend the AGM. As a member
of MMABC you hold the right to vote in the annual general election were the
directors for the next year are chosen. As a member in good standing you are
also able to STAND for an elected position of director of the
association.
GET INVOLVED!!!!! The association NEEDS volunteers as it grows, GET INVOLVED
and help shape the direction of Amateur MMA in BC!!!!!!!

April 28, 2026 - the first MMABC regulated all amateur event to
take place in Dawson Creek, BC. The event promoter, Ray House, has been running
Kickboxing events with a few MMA fights since 2000, where UFC veteran and MMABC
current chairman, Bill 'The Butcher' Mahood made his PRO MMA debut as the only
MMA fight on a Professional Kickboxing card. Mr. House states " This is the
first event Dawson Creek has seen in 5 years and we felt that AMATEUR MMA would
be a great place to start. MMABC was great to work with and provides the
excellence needed to run SAFE, FUN events." Mr. House is planning another MMABC
regulated AMATEUR event for June 30th
April 14th, 2012 - Armageddon Fighting Championship hosted a
Pro/Am event at the Bear Mountain Arena. MMABC was there to regulate the AMATEUR
portion of the card. This marks the second mixed PRO/Am card put on by AFC and
regulated my MMABC. The event was a BIG success with a VERY ACTION packed night
of closely contested fights.
March 02, 2026 - Quest for Glory make its debut at the Gossip
Night Club venue. This marked the first time that a MMA event has taken place in
a night club venue in the lower Mainland. It was a great atmosphere for a fast
paced night of top level amateur fights.
Feb 24, 2026 - Battlefield Fight League 14 was again at the Vogue
Theater in Downtown Vancouver hosting another ACTION PACKED night of TOP level
amateur fights. BFL is continuing to offer fans a full night of fights featuring
some of Vancouver's BEST young MMA Amateurs.
Feb 17th - WarPath MMA. Promoter Darwin Douglas continues to grow
the areas newest amateur MMA show. Feb 17th was the 4th event in just 8 months
as this young promotion looks to showcase talent from the promoters Revolution
Martial Arts academy in Chilliwack, BC. This event saw yet another big leap
forward with a new lighting rig and canvas BUT the same EXCELLENT matchmaking
that has created evenly matched and very entertaining fights.
Jan 15, 2026 - Battlefeild Fight League comes again to use from
the Rivr Rock Theater in Richmond, BC. Yet another GREAT amateur show that is
quickly becoming the show case of BCs TOP amateur talent.
Dec 02, 2025 - Warpath MMA - Warpath is back with its 3rd show
from the Tzeachten Hall, Chilliwack, BC Warpath is earning a solid reputation
for putting on well run, evenly matched, family oriented AMATEUR MMA event.
Congrats to promoter Darwin Douglas for re establishing MMA in Chilliwack!!
