Bill Mahood

A successful independent businessman and long-time veteran of our sport, Bill is acknowledged by fans and peers alike as a pioneer of Canadian MMA. During his decade-long career as a fighter, Bill competed all over the world for organizations including UFC, Strikeforce, King of the Cage, IFC, and bodogFIGHT. He has also traveled extensively as a trainer, manager and cornerman for a number of fellow pro fighters. This experience, along with his C.O.M.M.A.N.D and MMARS MMA judging/ref certification and over ten years of promoting MMA events, has given Bill a uniquely comprehensive understanding of all aspects of mixed martial arts. In addition to executing his duties as the chairman of MMABC, Bill continues to train as a Brown Belt under Bibiano Fernandes and works as an MMA Business Development consultant for www.TakeDownFightMedia.com






Paul Lazenby

Paul began his athletic career as a strongman and pro wrestler before traveling to Japan to become the first Canadian to fight in the "Pancrase" organization, the most prestigious MMA group in the world at the time. After facing two world champions in his first five fights, Paul became the first superheavyweight fighter to hold Canadian titles in MMA and muay Thai kickboxing simultaneously. During recent years, Paul has provided ring/cageside commentary for a variety of MMA organizations including bodogFIGHT, Armageddon Fighting Championships, Hardcore Championship Fighting, and the Score Fighting Series. A certified MMA judge under Big John McCarthy's C.O.M.M.A.N.D. organization and one of British Columbia's most visible pro-MMA activists, Paul currently serves as the resident MMA correspondent for Vancouver's CFOX FM and F.I.L.E.S. News magazine, operates his own website (PaulLazenby.com), teaches at Vancouver's FKP MMA academy, and works regularly on television, film and video game productions as an actor, stuntman, and stunt/fight coordinator.

Tony Williamson

As a longtime member of the BC MMA community, Tony has built experience at all levels of the sport. One of Canada's first MMA officials, Tony is certified as an MMA referee with the C.O.M.M.A.N.D. and referee and judge with IPRO. Tony is a licensed official coast-to-coast in 11 different regional commissions with in Canada. Tony has worked with numerous high-level organisations such as the UFC, KOTC, bodogFIGHT, IFC, Raw Combat, and Shooto Canada to name a few. During his career, Tony has officiated over 500 MMA fights including both Canadian and World title matches. A lifelong Martial Artist himself, Tony holds a Brown Belt BJJ Instructor status with Marcus Soares (Carlson Gracie) and a 2 Black Belt Sogo Ryu Ju-Jitsu with Serge Laflamme (World Elite Black Belt Society). Tony also owns City Window Cleaners in Kelowna - a company that specialises in the cleaning of high-rise office and residential buildings.






Brian Peers

Brian Peers is a Can-Fit Pro and ACE certified personal trainer with 30 years of martial arts experience. He holds black belts in two styles of traditional Karate, two systems of Taekwondo and belts in Kogido, Judo, Aikido and Jujitsu.
